Nutella Krispy Crunch Balls

Chocolate coated nutella and Rice Krispy balls

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 3/4 cup Confectionary sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup Rice krispy cereal
  • 1 stick Unsalted butter melted
  • 12 oz Chocolate candy melts
  • 1 Sprinkles, crystalized sugar, non perils

Instructions
 

  • Combine melted butter, Nutella, and confectioner's sugar in a bowl. Mix until thick and smooth. Fold in Rice Krispies cereal with a rubber spatula.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Using a small cookie scoop, roll the mixture into balls and place them on the baking sheet. Freeze for 15 minutes or until firm.
  • While the Nutella balls are freezing, melt the chocolate at half power in 30-second intervals.
  • Dip the frozen Nutella balls into the chocolate, shaking off any excess. Return them to the parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for another 10 minutes or until hard enough to handle.
  • Place the Nutella balls into mini paper candy cups. Lightly drizzle them with chocolate and then decorate with sprinkles or crystallized sugar. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Try using peanut butter as in original recipe
Store in a cool area or keep in the fridge.
Sugar: Try using a 1/3 less sugar to make less sweet
