Panettone Toast
Panettone bread sliced and dipped in citrus and nutmeg egg wash, then toasted on the griddle.

Ingredients

mini panettone
sliced

large eggs
1/2
cup
milk or half n half
1/4
tsp
nutmeg
1/8
tsp
orange extract
more if desired
Cooking spray or butter for griddle
Powdered sugar for sprinkle

orange for garnish
Instructions
Slice panettone into 1/4" slices (about 5 slices per loaf)
Scramble eggs, milk, nutmeg and orange extract
Warm griddle with butter or cooking spray
Dip each slice into egg wash and then place onto hot griddle.
Panettone are done when golden brown on both sides.
Serve warm with orange slices and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
Notes
This recipe was tested and created with mini panettone (3.50 oz). Please adjust measurements if using a traditional 2lb panettone.
