Easy Tacos Alambre
Easy one pan Taco Dinner made with shaved steak, savory bacon, crunchy peppers, and tender onions.
- 1 lb shaved steak
- 4-5 slices bacon cut into pieces
- 2 green peppers diced
- 2 red peppers diced
- 1/2 jalapeño pepper minced
- 1/2 cup red onion diced
- 1/2 cup white onion diced
- Salt and pepper
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1-2 tablespoon olive oil
- Shredded Mexican-style cheese
- Soft Tortillas
- TJ’s Chile Lime Seasoning optional
- Fresh cilantro
Marinate the shaved steak in lime juice, salt, and pepper for 30 minutes.
Render bacon pieces out in a sauté pan or cast iron skillet. Then add beef and sauté Season with TJ’s Chile Lime Seasoning (optional).Once cooked through, remove and set aside.
Dice the peppers and onions and sauté in same pan. Season with salt and pepper.
Once the peppers are slightly tender, add the beef back to the pan and cook together for 5 minutes.
Top with shredded Mexican-style cheese and cover for 5 minutes.
Optional: place the pan under the broiler for a few minutes to melt the cheese. Remove and add fresh cilantro.
Serve with soft tortilla
