So who's ready for the holiday weekend? Got your steaks, chicken, ribs, burgers and dogs all ready for the grill? What about your BBQ sauce? Got that too?

Oops - forgot the BBQ sauce? Well don't fret if you did because I've got a very quick and easy bbq sauce that you can make in a jiffy. It's actually a modified version of the old fashioned Wesson Oil "jiffy BBQ Sauce" .

Most of the ingredients are probably at your fingertips right now: Ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, shallots (onion), vegetable/olive oil, beef/chicken stock, lemon juice, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.

JIffy Barbecue Sauce

Once you've got all the ingredients together all you'll need is about 15 minutes or so to prepare the sauce.  First, saute the shallots in the oil over medium heat until soft.  Then add the remaining ingredients.  Allow the sauce to simmer for about 15 minutes, while stirring constantly.  Once the sauce is thickened cool it down and you're done. Refrigerate any extra for future use.

Yep, that's it .... BBQ sauce just like that!
