Getting the kids in the kitchen just got easier with Flatout Bread Pizza crusts. I am resolving this 2016 to get my kids into the kitchen more and express their creativity through food. Not only does this encourage them to eat healthier, but it promotes independence. I think it also gives them a sense of pride along with a willingness to try new things.
I personally love Flatout Bread Pizza crusts because they take the stress out of making homemade pizza along with giving my teen the tools to make his own after school snacks. On any given day you will find these pizza crusts in my refrigerator. My 14 year old son loves to make his own pizza almost as much as he enjoys eating them! He usually takes whatever leftovers we might have in the fridge along with a little tomato sauce and low fat cheese. He’ll usually whip up a delicious homemade snack in 15 minutes, which is the perfect amount of time for a chronically hungry teenage boy who seems to always be hungry.
On a recent episode of Cheftini’s Kitchen I had my son, Robert and his friend, Frank create their own Flatout bread pizzas. I gave them each a Flatout pizza crust along with a variety of toppings to choose from. They both made delicious pizzas in less than 15 minutes. On most occasions these kids would have passed up the pesto and zucchini but since they were getting creative, they even went for the foods they don’t normally eat.
I will say both pizzas were yummy but the winning pizza went to Frank and his yummy Grilled Chicken Pesto Pizza! It tasted even better than it looked (and it was a real beauty!)
Here is the recipe for Frank’s yummy creation: Grilled Chicken Pesto Flatout Bread Pizza. As always you can use this as a guide to create your own pizza but whatever you do don’t forget the Flatout Bread Pizza Crusts.
