Peanut Butter Cookies with a Crunch

A crunchy peanut butter cookie made with Frosted Mini Wheat Cereal

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups of Flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup softened butter/margarine
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 20 Kellog's Frosted Mini Wheat crushed to a fine shreds

Instructions
 

  • Stir together flour, baking soda and salt in a large bowl
  • In another bowl beat butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy
  • Add eggs and vanilla
  • Mix in flour mixture and crushed cereal
  • Drop by level measuring tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets
  • Using a fork, flatten each cookie in crisscross pattern
  • Bake at 350 degrees F, 14 minutes or until lightly browned
  • Remove immediately from baking sheets
  • Cool on wire racks
