Happy 4th of July!!

Grilled Chimichurri Portobello Mushroom

I recently heard that Mushrooms were like the "meat of the earth" . With this in mind I decided to give some portobello mushroom caps a quick bath in my favorite Chimichurri marinade.

Here's a quick post on a delicious alternative to meat this 4th of July!  Try grilling portobello mushroom caps with your favorite seasonings on the grill.

I  took 2 tablespoons of my Chimichurri Marinade, the portobello mushroom caps, a splash of sherry wine and then marinated them in a plastic zip bag over night.  I grilled the mushrooms the next night for dinner. I grilled them the same way I would a piece of meat but was more delicate in flipping them over.
