While many of us make attempts to keep our skin and our families’ skin safe from the potential damages of the sun, how much do we really know about what’s in all of those sunscreens and moisturizers? I for one spend a lot of time trying to put more organic, natural foods into my body but up until recently, didn’t apply this way of thinking to skincare and beauty products.
It was through my friend Isadora that I was made aware of the potential damages of some products out on the market. I was shocked to find out that some of these products contain formaldehyde (yes FORMALDEHYDE!), animal fats and benzophenone(which is a potential carcinogenic). She introduced me to a skincare and beauty products line called Beautycounter. This company sets out to create safe products with none of these ingredients.
